I had to post again

because since I've been thinking about Mary Stolz from the previous post, I've also been thinking about the names of my future children. And I have some really good ones. The first three I decided on years ago, and have only grown to love them more. I am always eager to tell people, even though they don't always seem as thrilled as I am about them. Also, I am using this post to prove that I chose all of these names first, so Alli can't steal any of them. And you, dear readers, are my witnesses.
I have always felt a deep connection with my name. I am my great grandmothers' great grand daughter. I feel like it really is a part of me. Sometimes I think things like: that has Amelia Jane written all over it. or I don't think that would be a very Amelia Jane thing to do. My name is who I am, and I want my children to feel that way too.

Norah - because I love the name and I love her.

Jane - because for my entire life, I have loved answering the question "what is your middle name?" It is music to my ears when my mom calls me "Amelia Jane." I use it everytime I go to a restaurant. I think it is so lovely I'd like to use it more. Like on my daughter.

Mary - because 3 Marys come to mind. And all are women I will forever admire. Mary my grandma, Mary the mother of Jesus (those are the main two), and Mary Stolz, my favourite author.

Opal - because I am reading a book about Opal Whiteley, and to know her is to love her. Plus, I love her name. And can't you just imagine me with a daughter named Opal?

YOUR names have been noted.
Now to just wait and see if you will be a Christine or a Tracey. :)

The race is on! :) You have to be willing to share Jane because what if there is someone out there who really really loves the name Jane and who thinks it would be quite special to name her own daughter after another Jane who she thinks is just about the best person you could name someone after? Opal is sweet - I've never heard that one before. And I can definitely picture you with an Opal. Here's to hoping your eggs are a lot more feminine than mine, or you're going to be having a LOT of kids trying to use up all these names!

and we'll see about Mary...

I had to laugh when I read the comments. I have noted that all the names you have picked are girl names! Either you are not concerned that Alli will be using the boy names you like or you plan on having lots of girls;-) My experience is that it is always good to have a few options because by the time we had 4 girls I was at a loss for girl names and needed a baby name book ;-)

I have to agree with Alli about Jane, because the only Jane I know is a pretty awesome person to name a little girl after.

Since I am always looking for a good book to read, and I am not familiar with Mary Stolz, which of her books would you recommend?

Was happy to see both of your posts this morning as I have been checking daily and missed reading your thoughts. Love ya.
