Christmas and Valentine's are the best because they celebrate LOVE. Christmas reminds us of the perfect love that was introduced to the world through the birth our Saviour, Jesus Christ. And Valentine's Day reminds us that love is meant to be cherished and strengthened and most of all EXPRESSED! Whether it's romantic love or friendly love, it ought to be talked about and written about. And especially for those people who have a special someone in their life, what a wonderful idea, that one day of the year should be set aside for people to make a BIG FUSS about it.
The truth is, I've only ever had one Valentine. And it was in grade 9. The other relationships I've been in (and there haven't been many) have never taken place during the month of February. Which is a bummer! But there's no use getting down about it. Because someday I WILL have a real Valentine! And I know that it'll be great because all these years, I've been happy for everyone else's romance on Valentine's Day instead of cursing them and being bitter. I don't sarcastically call it "Single's Awareness Day" or mumble about it being a shallow fabrication of commerce. I rejoice in the love of others!
And this = good karma = someday I'm going to have the best Valentine EVER.

Top 7 best things about being single:
1. I get good grades.
2. I can focus on developing meaningful relationships with girl friends, and guy friends.
3. I am involved in my ward.
4. I get to know more people. And everyone is so worth knowing.
5. I can be selfish with my time.
6. I don't have to shave my legs for very long periods of time.
7. My lips don't get chapped. (ha. juuust kidding, mom)

Totally agree! I hate it when people call it Singles Awareness Day! Get over yourselves! Valentine's Day is GREAT if for no other reason than the large amounts of free candy! :)
